SWIRE CTM BULK LOGISTICS is a company 50% jointly owned by the China Navigation Company Limited [CNCo] part of the Swire Group (a multi-national, multi-disciplined commercial group with over 130 years of experience in shipping) and, C Transport Maritime [CTM] part of Ceres Shipping Group.
CTM has an overall managed fleet of 105 dry bulk carriers. During 2007, CTM carried abt 60 million tons of Dry Bulk Commodities.

SWIRE CTM BULK LOGISTICS sums up the experience, know-how and networks of its parent companies in the dry bulk and logistics field, providing a full range of integrated services from the supplier to the end users, including spezialised barge services, trans-shipment, river, coastal and ocean transportation by means of conventional bulk-carriers or self-unloading vessels.
This services aimed to offer substantial freight savings and therefore add value to our customers supply chains.

SWIRE CTM BULK LOGISTICS' solutions/services can be utilized to:

• supplement existing ports requiring expansion and capacity enhancement to increase cargo throughput
• provide an interim solution, in order to build a sound cash and cargo fundamental, essential to make the investment on a shore based facility economically viable
• overcome the physical restrictions of a particular port such as draft and vessel size limitation
• overcome port congestion
• provide a more commercially viable alternative to a shore base facility when the trade volume is not large enough to justify the investment in a shore-based facility or when the trade may be short-lived as in the case of mines with limited reserves.
